Sample Save the Date Card

See this is what I mean, on just the way it's folded, obviously the save the date doesn't have to have everything the first direction has, with the envelope and the other stuff. Just the main idea of having the color combination you have with yours, along with this folding style. Let me know what you think.

  1. The samples you have up are of invitations, and not really save the dates. I could do the save the dates more elaborate, but I think keeping it simple makes the invitation have more impact. Not only that, but save the dates are generally sent as postcards, which can not have special folds. If we do special folds for the save the dates, then we have to add an envelope to the total costs.

I know that costs are not a real concern, but it doesn't hurt to be Savy, Does anyone else in the group have any thoughts to share about Kittie's idea?

  2. Well your mostly right, and it's because I don't really know how save the date cards work, because I know anything can be unique, even as simple as it is, I guess I'd just like to see something, other then just the black, for example the one of the wedding, can still have the same information you have displayed on the other, but I think what will give it that extra something special is the fold. It can still be even a simple layout, where maybe the front is in this manner, (the decorative side) and the back can have the information you have, even the same way as you have on the other. That way it does work as a postcard without the fold, I'm just saying the front, or the design aspect should be an extra push, because essentially there is a front and a back usually to save the date cards. I gave you simpler more postcard type save the dates above this post.
